About Gleevec®
Gleevec ®, known generically as imatinib, has been on the market since 2001. It is used to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), a type of cancer that’s difficult to treat. It’s also approved for gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), a rare type of stomach cancer.
